How does the coverage work?
You may take your vehicle to any ASE licensed repair facility of your choice. You also may choose your deductible prior to purchasing your coverage plan. DBW has 3 deductible choices available $0, $50 or $100.

How does the repair facility get paid?
When a claim is approved DBW pays the ASE licensed repair facility directly for you via company credit card and you pay your deductible (if chosen).

When does my policy begin?
Your policy will take effect 30 days from the purchase date. No inspection is required. Your policy may begin before 30 days if you have proof of prior coverage with no lapse in coverage.

Are there any cancellation fees?
You have 30 days to review the policy for a full refund. During the term of coverage DBW will pro-rate your refund based on your terms of service agreement.

What if I sell the car, is the policy transferable?
DBW policies are fully transferable at no cost you. You may transfer your policy to a person or place coverage on another vehicle for a pro-rated difference if required.

Is my VIN required to sign up?
DBW does not require the VIN when signing up. The VIN will be requested in your welcome kit to be sent back.

How long will my car be at the repair facility when I have a breakdown?
Depending of what your vehicle needs, there is no way of knowing exactly how long, but Directbuy Warranty does everything in its power to make sure your vehicle is not in the repair facility for more than 72 hours (3 days). Other companies will send an on-site inspector out to view the vehicles diagnosed problem before any approval is given. That’s one of the many DBW differences.

Our claims & authorization department is on staff ASE licensed automotive technicians. That is why DBW does not require to send out an on-site inspector to view the diagnosed the problem before giving authorization.
